Who we are
FinCoHolic is an educational personal finance website built for Indian households. We help salaried professionals and families turn take-home pay into a practical monthly plan — salary breakdown, budget, savings rules, goals, emergency fund, and long-term wealth projections — all in Indian rupees (INR).
Our tagline is "ADDICTED TO YOUR FINANCIAL FREEDOM". That reflects our focus: helping you build habits and clarity around money, not selling financial products.
What we offer
• Free planner tools — Salary & Savings, Budget (50/30/20), Savings Rules, Goals, Emergency Fund, and Wealth Builder calculators that work in your browser without login.
• Bond investment education — A comprehensive guide to fixed income in India, including G-Secs, corporate bonds, credit ratings, yield to maturity, and a before-you-invest checklist.
• Blog and guides — Long-form articles on salary planning, budgeting, savings frameworks, emergency funds, wealth building, and bond investing.
• Community (optional) — Signed-in members can explore educational polls, FAQs, and money topics. Community content is moderated and is not investment advice.
What we are not
FinCoHolic is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, research analyst, portfolio manager, or stock broker. We do not provide personalised investment, tax, or legal advice. Calculators and articles use illustrative assumptions; actual returns, taxes, and fees will differ. Always consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions.
Our editorial standards
All content on FinCoHolic is written for education and personal planning. We aim for accuracy, clarity, and India-specific context — PF deductions, income tax regimes, rent and EMI realities, and rupee-denominated examples.
• Sources — We reference publicly available guidance from regulators (RBI, SEBI) and government portals where relevant. Tool outputs are mathematical models, not forecasts.
• Updates — Tax rules, market conditions, and product terms change. We update articles and tool defaults when material changes occur; check the "Last updated" date on policy pages.
• Referrals — Some footer links point to third-party bond marketplaces. We may receive referral benefits. These are clearly disclosed on our
/disclosures page and do not change our educational positioning.
• No guaranteed returns — We do not publish get-rich-quick schemes, guaranteed return promises, or stock tips.

We recommend working through the planner in order: start with the Salary calculator to understand take-home pay, then Budget, Savings Rules, Goals, Emergency Fund, and Wealth Builder. Each tool connects to the next so your plan stays consistent.
